The fact that the company as well as the Weber family personally have been engaged in the German Bone Marrow Donor Registry (DKMS – Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei) for many years shows that sportsmanship and social commitment can be combined with each other excellently. In 2007, the Weber family set a good example when asking all employees in a company-wide initiative under the motto “Help for Heio and others” to get registered as a bone marrow donor, thus becoming a potential lifesaver.
Weber Supports:
The Weber family is a member of the “Club of 1000”. The “Club of 1000” is a unique society of various companies, renowned organisations and prominent persons, who promote saving lives and the development of common ideas in the fight against leukaemia through their financial support.
Social commitment has been the Weber company’s top priority for generations. As an employer, the Weber family always has the desire to provide not only for their employees’ training and assuring their livelihood, but also to help people facing hardships. Their commitment to Doctors Without Borders offers the opportunity for sustainable humanitarian aid with the aim to ensure survival, relieve suffering and enable people to take charge of their own lives again.
